Gand Mool Dosh Nivarna Pooja is done to mitigate the negativity caused because of the Gand Mool Dosha. Gandmool Dosh is formed due to placement of moon in specific position in Ashwini, Ashlesha, Magha, Jyeshtha, Moola and Revati nakshatra in the birth horoscope of a native. This placement causes serious troubles and problems to the native depending upon the strength of the Dosh.
Nakshatra are Stars or cluster of Stars which are very faraway from Earth and they are used as a Milestones to pinpoint the location of any Planet in our Solar System. The entire Zodiac (360 degrees) is split into 12 Zodiac Signs of 30 degree each. There are 27 Nakshatra each having its specific Name and Governing Planet. Consequently each Zodiac Sign has 2 &1/4 (Two and One Fourth) Nakshatras. Each respective Nakshatra is further subdivided into 4 Charans known as Nakshatra Pad. Therefore there are overall 108 Nakshatra Pad. Hence, there are 9 Nakshatra Pads or Charan in Each Zodiac Sign.

Cause of concern about them
As per the various acharyas of Jyotish Shastra, the child born in these nakshatras is inauspicious and has to face a lot of obstacles in the life. If left untreated by suitable pujas and remedies which are not very cumbersome, the child may have to face the wrath of the malefic planets in a higher degree.
From the childhood till his old age, he has to face problems related to health, education, society, career, jobs, marriage, finance, property, positivity, mind and other aspects of his life.
He might have to struggle very hard and still might land uponsituations where he would be given the least priority. Since this is anarishta yoga, the person might not be able to get the desired strength to cope up with all this.
