"All the powers in the universe are ours. It is we who have put our hands before our eyes and cry that it is dark", said Swami Vivekanand. In this world all the defeats, anxieties, tensions and unhappiness are due to mindlessness or lack of wisdom. It is wisely said, "Pragyapradho moolam sarvaroganam. Pragyapradhi moolam sarvadoshanam."
The cause of all the diseases and doshas the shortcomings, is the lack of buddhi wisdom.
We are the part of the ultimate happiness, ananda the God. We are having inherent craving to merge in God, like all the rivers merge in the sea.
The basic fact is to control mind, and achieve state of sthitpragya the balance of buddhi the wisdom, through the 6 ways which are almost simultaneous and in sequence. That is, once the process of mind control sets in, we achieve the stage.
Lord Krishna says, "On Me alone fix your mind and your intellect, the understanding. In Me alone you will live thereafter. Of this there is no doubt." Gita:12.8.
Man is not distant from God, Brahma and happiness but is akin to having got separated due to involvement in undirected, uncontrolled ways of pleasure. The man is behaving uncontrolled and worst than spoiled child, just like a psychiatric patient. For example, a prince due to bad company and under the influence of opium etc., will behave like loafers. But once transformed and out of the company of the bad, he remains in his original state, that of a prince. What is needed is the transformation of mind.
When we are physically born, it is the God's wish to attain great possibility. God has given us optimum brains and wisdom, differentiating us as humans.
The possibility of transforming the self exists every moment of your life. It is only a tragedy, if possibility can not be converted into possible. In natural terms, a seed will sprout. And a bud will flower. It will always be agonizing, if possibility could not be made possible.
After all, we are not expecting a stone to flower, or a pond to flow. We are not expecting an animal to control mind and use wisdom or to get enlightenment. What we are expecting is a river to flow, the flowering plant to flower and a human being to achieve ananda the happiness, the ultimate nature, God. Only you can change yourself to be a human being, not only a divine possibility but also a cosmic possibility.
If you meet with failures, undaunted you continue practicing and you will achieve your aim. Lord Krishna says, "To those who are continuously joined in me through love and worship, I grant the Budhiyoga the connectedness through mind, through which they achieve Me." Gita :10.10
The six ways of fixing the mind in God are as follows:
Internal Self-realization (Darshan) : The knower of our buddhi or mind is separate from us. When we have Darshan of God through transformation meditation and enlarge God within our-self, we become our own observers, like God.
Lord Krishna says, "Surrendering in thought all actions to Me, regarding me as Supreme, and resorting to steadfastness in mind, fix your thoughts continuously in Me." Gita: 18.57.
Self-Esteem & overcoming inferiority complex : There should be no complex, neither superiority nor inferiority. You may be poor; doing small jobs, may be of small caste, or from a poor family or having less education or intelligence. "I am unable to do anything, I am sinner, and I committed that mistake?" eliminate such types of thoughts. Instead of cursing yourself, surrender to the grace of God. Your mistakes, so called sins actually don't have the strength so as to stand against the kindness, the grace of God. The power of the Kripa the God's grace is stronger than your helplessness, have-not-ness, mistakes and sins. Whatever you may be, whoever you may be, whatever kind you may be, you can attain everything by simply belonging to God. Because everything belongs to God. And He belongs to all, and He is yours too. You don't have to be influenced by the complexes thus make yourself worthy of greater possibilities for which you have taken birth, i.e., God realization. Therefore, replace the thoughts of inferiority complex with names such as, "Ram, Krishna, Hari, Shyam, Om, and Omkar?" till you get mantra by the Guru. Therefore, in this way chant such divine and strong names, and "my God, omnipresent, is with me, is within me, is strengthening me?" with these feelings direct your thoughts and fill your heart and mind. Don't curse any more that no one cares for me, so think in these terms and don't bring inferiority complex in you. Further, stop cursing yourself any more, and don't suppress and agonize either. Instead think in your mind, like, "The one, who is regulating several galaxies, several worlds, is caring and regulating me too. I am your child, my God." These kinds of determined thoughts will protect your intelligence and mind. Through good deeds be worthy of yourself and take "Divine knowledge" from some Guru who will teach you to and attach your mind in grace of Guru and God".
Unaffected in the flow of life : We must remain unaffected in the day today flow of life. Like the Ganges, which flows? There are flowers offered, so are the ashes of the dead. Everything keeps flowing in the Ganges. Likewise, everything must flow softly. Lovable flow, as much as unlovable flow; happiness flows, unhappiness flows; popularity flows, unpopularity also flows. The sympathies of well-wishers too pass, as much as the stigmas and blames of the competitors, critics and enemies. All flow. Life flows.
You can cling to how many of the dear objects, and be against how many of bad things? Let life flow. In this life flow, all good, bad, desirous or un-desirous, will flow. Don't get influenced by your greatness and shun ego, neither curse your being small and don't nurture anxieties and tensions. All will flow. Don't expect like, "this should happen, or like this?" and instead, what will happen will be good by God and bearable. By expecting we agonize our self unnecessarily, even we think, "This should happen to critics, that should happen to competitors?", for a friend, "no harm to the friend, if harmed then what will happen?" etc. From your angle, your role should be clear and without any anxieties. Make right actions, with intelligence focused in God, then don't worry and be devoid of expectations.
Do good: Of course, thinking, doing well with good objectives dawns serenity upon you. But still, don't be attached to "this is good, this is bad?"nor be full of hatred. Lord Krishna says, "He who neither rejoices nor hates, nether grieves nor desires, and who has renounced good and evil, he who is so devoted is dear to Me." Gita : 12.17. Christ suggests 7 points in clearing our mind for doing good, "Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report?meditate on these things." That is, we must question 1. Is it true, 2. Is it noble, 3. Is it just, 4. Is it pure, 5. Is it lovely, 6. Is it having good report and 7. Is it positive?
In this world, there are many things that seem good and sweet, but over a period of time their qualities diminish and even prove to be bitter and vise versa. Life flows. Keep flowing with life.
Self control and optimum rest: We have to control. Control of everything. Our senses, our mind, intelligence, wisdom. All by itself. Lord Krishna says, "The yogi sage of subdued mind, ever keeping himself thus harmonized, attains to peace, the supreme Nirvana the Gods Darshan, which resides in Me. Yoga is not for him who eats too much or abstains too much from eating. It is not for him who sleeps too much or keeps awake too much." Gita: 6.15-16. Don't go into sleep in worries, anxieties or tensions. Like in mothers lap, go into sleep with the transformation meditative stage being tension free and mind focused in God. I suggest you to think, "I am surrendering to God, I am seeking blessings of God for the end of chaos in life?I am confident and tension free. God is showing the way. God knows present and future?what will happen?will only be ideally good for me." Jesus Christ describes nine qualities that God has enriched all of us to use them for our spiritual and external success, namely, "The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, self-control." Galatians-5:22. We need to reprogram our mind with the above qualities.
Wisdom in Control of senses : Use Viveka the wisdom, which is a must to control mind, to control actions, and ultimately to control our senses. Lord Jesus describes, "When wisdom enters your heart, and Knowledge is pleasant to your soul, Discretion will preserve you, Understanding will keep you." Proverbs-2:10-11. So the sequence is 1. Wisdom, 2. Knowledge, 3. Discretion & 4. Understanding. Lord Krishna says, "He whose mind is untroubled in the midst of sorrows and is free from keen desire amid pleasures, he from whom passion, fear, and anger have passed, he is called a muni sage of balanced buddhi mind." Gita: 2.56.
Adopt these six ways and be balanced in problems, happiness, loss and gain. Believe that these simple six ways will save you from many bad situations. These ways to achieve God are very kind, of high level, fruitful, and fast result oriented. These noble ways will establish you in the Universal Mind, which is God. God seeks opportunity to spill over His Love to his children, Bhakta. Like mother who awaits the actions of her child to embrace with love. In the same way, our Sadhna the meditative actions, with love for God are sufficient to arouse the love of God. As it is, where there is closeness and relationship there is love. So consider God your own, taking shelter of equivalence in all, love for all and God, be continuously of the mind of God. Your life will glow in enlightenment.
