The Medical treatment or the science of well being is the eternal wisdom of the Vedas and is prevalent in India since thousands of years. The common base and goal of well being of the mind, dwelling place of the soul i.e., body and the house is shared by Astrology, Vaastu and Ayurveda. Our body is made up of five elements known as the "Panch-Mahabhutas" i.e., the five elements, Sky, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. All of these five elements influence the human mind, body, spirit and the environment towards success, failure, good or bad health. So, man constructed the first house to save himself and to have security from the severity of these five elements, the Panch-Mahabhutas.
This led to imbalance of the five elements, the negative and positive energies between him and the elements. Thus there was evolution of Vaastu Shastra, which enabled man to plan his house in compliance to the natural principles of the balance of the five elements, and the house becomes a correct receptor of Panch-mahabhutas. Thus objective of the Vaastu is to restore the balance between the home and the cosmos, bringing health, wealth and happiness to individuals. Health and happiness do not necessarily rely solely on things such as food or exercise.
If the mind is upset, there are psychosomatic disorders, the cause of most ailments, as Psyche means mind and Soma means body. The whole body is thrown out of balance, inducing illness and maladies. The energy channels of the body, or Nadis, receive subtle cosmic energy called Prana. Vaastu stipulates that if Prana is functioning properly within the home, it ensures good health, wealth and happiness.Astrology and Vaastu are the two sides of the same coin. Those who ignore the advice of Astrology and Vaastu experience continual sorrow, disappointment, failure, unhappiness, disturbed professional and family life.
Vaastu lays down guidelines in deciding the right plot, may be for residential, educational, commercial, industrial or any other purpose and in the building layout and planning the areas for different activities. Essentially it's the art of containing and balancing the innate energy that is present in a plot for positive benefits. This will be manifest in every aspect of existence ? the physical, material and spiritual. But common man often acknowledges and appreciates these positive effects through their material perception based on increase in wealth, health, prosperity and total well-being.
Vaastu gives clear directions taking into account the movement of the sun and moon the relation to the four magnetic directions i.e North, South, East and West. According to the science, positive magnetic energy that initiates from the north-east corner of a plot, transverses diagonally to the south-west corner.
So to contain the innate energy within a plot, the north-east corner should be the lightest and lowest part in the plot and south-west the heavier and highest. The human body is also a magnet with trillions of bio-magnetic waves transmitted from and to the trillions of neurons, the brain-cells every split second. The brain supposedly produce 30 watts of electricity. As per the Vaastu, the considers Head as the north pole and feet as the south pole of the magnetic body.
This led to the understanding, development and recognition of the science of Geopathy. Geo means 'earth' and pathy means 'disease', so the science of geopathy is the study of the diseases of the earth.
Geopathy recognizes that electromagnetic radiations which are cosmic in origin and surround the earth. The geopathic scientists believed that radiation distortions were a natural phenomenon which could make a site unsafe for constructing any thing over it. If the structure was near or over the distorted point, these distortions would result in a distorted energy-field in a structure. Geopathists put forth the theory that this could result in unhappy-homes, illnesses and untimely deaths to the inhabitants, failure, loss of image and lack of prosperity.
There are several factors which can contribute to geo-pathic stress. For example, the underground streams of electromagnetic current which suddenly change course or tend to get into falls even if they are at great depths from the surface. Dr. Curry of Germany discovered electrically charged lines of natural origin flowing on northeast-southwest and vice versa, at approximately three meters apart forming a grid, the phenomenon now known as the 'Curry-grid'.
