Western Numerology (Pythagorean Method)
Man knows thyself; then thou shalt know the Universe and God. ? Pythagoras
Numerology is the language of numbers and their symbolic significance. Numerology uses numbers to describe who a person is and what the destiny holds for a native. It is the study of numbers and each number has its own sound, vibration and energy and its own vibratory influence. The basic numbers are 1 - 9.
Each number has inherent meaning, power and an interesting importance. Just as the right medical attention can cure a patient, similarly right astrological and numerological guidance can help solve many a health, domestic or professional problem. In numerology nothing happens by chance. When you come into this world, it is with a unique combination of vibrations and purposes. The name you are given at your birth contains some of these vibrations, as does your birth date.
The Pythagorean method was developed by Pythagoras, a Greek mathematician and metaphysician who lived during the 6th century BC. Pythagoras was an exponent of maths, metaphysics and spiritual development. He combined these disciplines and is known as the father of Numerology.
He was most widely known for his proposition that the square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides.
Like the Chaldean method, Pythagorean numerology analyzes both name and date of birth, and the interaction between the two. The basic vibrations are 1 through 9. The double digits like 11 (K) and 22 (V) are not reduced to a single digit because these are the master vibrations.
The Meaning Of Numbers in Numerology For Creativity& Factors Of Life Goals
The primary vibrations are 1 through 9, plus master vibrations of 11 and 22. Vibrations above 9 can be reduced to primary by adding the digits together. For example, 10, 19 and 28 are "1's" because 1 + 0 = 1, 1 + 9 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1, and 2 + 8 = 10 = 1 + 0 = 1.
The reduced vibrations are by nature general. The basic vibrations give benchmark information that can be helpful and is summarized by key words associated with each. The characteristics associated with each vibration are both positive and negative in brief are as follows:
The 11 (K) and 22 (V) are master vibrations, and therefore are not reduced when doing chart calculations.
